Emergency Services
Program Description:
Crisis House provides emergency assistance to persons in need. Services include: emergency food, weekly bread program and clothing vouchers. For emergency food a two-day supply of food is provided. Diapers, baby layettes, infant food and formula are provided for emergencies, (When available). Emergency Government Commodities are also provided.

Program Hours/Days:
8:30am-11:30am & 1:00pm-3:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
8:30am-11:30 Wednesday

Eligibility:
No age limitations. For emergency services client assessment required and acceptable form of Identification, i.e. drivers license, social security card, or California ID and must reside in the East County region. May receive food two times a year. Bread program participants are eligible to recieve bread once a week.

Intake:
Walk-in, agency referrals welcome.

Homeless Services/Outreach
Program Description:
Crisis House provides outreach and crisis intervention services to homeless individuals. Services include: referrals to shelter, referrals to medical and mental health services, bus tokens for verified appointments, legal assistance services, weekly bread program, mail and message service, hygiene kits, homeless food packs, homeless storage (limited), assistance in completing personal forms and assistance in obtaining Identification. Homeless health care referrals provided daily to East County clinics and Logan Heights Family Health Center for emergency dental, and assistance with prescriptions. Individuals can also be seen on site (medical bus) at Crisis House on Mondays 9am-Noon.

Eligibility:
Individuals are required to complete a homeless intake assessment form and provide acceptable froms of ID (i.e. drivers license, social security card or a California ID) and must be homeless living in the East County region.

Social Service(s)
Program Description:
Crisis House provides social services assessment, crisis intervention, emergency food, social service client advocacy, seasonal cold weather shelter vouchers for homeless families and individuals (client must be referred by INFO LINE for shelter services) to include case managment i.e. budget and credit counseling/repair & referrals, employment development/search, permanant housing referrals, parenting skills and enhancement and community voice mail. Also, refers individuals and families from East County needing shelter to; Interfaith Shelter Network St Vincent DePaul Village, Rescue Mission, YWCA, VOA, and Alpha Project. Eligibilty:
Cold weather/emergency shelter program

Individuals are required to complete a Crisis House Intake form, homeless assessment form and provide legal forms of ID, i.e. Drivers license, social security card or a California ID and must be homeless and living in the East County region. Client must be willing to participate in case management. Requires client intake & homeless assessment with acceptable forms of ID., drivers license, social security card, California ID and must reside in the East County region. Drug screening required for shelter program.

Intake:
Referrals made through INFO-LINE only.

Homeless Families, Pregnant women, Senior Citizens and Disabled. Residing in the East County region.

Social Service(s)
Program Description:
Provides seasonal FEMA rental assistance to qualifying clients

Eligibilty:
Must have a 3-day notice or new move-in proposal from Landlord. Qualifying individuals must have co-payment and the ability to continue to remain self-sufficient. Required to complete FEMA Intake, prepare personal budget, show hardship.

Transitional Housing (DISABILITIES)

Program Description:

Provides comprehensive long-term transitional housing and intensive case management to homeless males and females with disabilities. Support services include food privileges, counseling, crisis intervention, career exploration, employment development/assistance, General Education Diploma test preparation, transportation, life skill building, conflict resolution, budgeting, alcohol or drug abuse services, referrals to other necessary services and assistance for applying for public assistance. Residential unit(s) house up to 12 individuals, 6 Male, 6 female.

Program Hours:
24-Hours/ 7 Days Residential Units

Eligibilty:
Limited to homeless disabled single adult male and females, to include those with past drug or alcohol addictions, and mild mental health issues. Must be willing to set and work toward long term goals and be able to live in a group environment. Must be sober and drug free. Drug/TB screening a requirement.

Intake:

Program Description:

Crisis House provides comprehensive long-term transitional living and intensive case management to homeless single women with children and single women who have fled a domestic violence situation. Support services include food pantry privilleges, clinical counseling, crisis intervention, group interactions, career exploration, employment, education development/assistance, General Education Diploma test preparation, transportation, life skill building, conflict resolution, budgeting, alcohol and/or drug abuse services, referrals to other necessary services, help with applying for public assistance and 3 months of follow-up case management services.

Program Hours/Days:
24 Hours/7 Days/Transitional living unit.

Eligibility:
Homeless single women and women with children, domestic violence survivors only. Must be willing to set and work toward long term goals and be able to live in a group environment. Must be sober and drug free. Required drug & TB testing. Last DV incidence within last 6 months of application process.

Intake:
Referrals & appointment made through community agencies and homeless shelters. A comprehensive screening, assessment and applications process is necessary. Contact Domestic Violence Transitional Housing Coordinator at (619)444-1194 ext. 307

Support services include food pantry privileges, counseling, crisis intervention, career exploration, employment development/assistance, transportation, life skill building, conflict resolution, legal, General Education Diploma test prepration, budgeting, alcohol and/or drug abuse services, referrals to other necessary services, help applying for public assistance, and 3 month follow up case management services. Residential unit houses up to 5 family members.

Program Hours/Days:
24 Hours/7 Days/Residential living unit.

Limited to homeless families

Shared Senior Housing

Program Description:
Funded by the County of San Diego to assist seniors who are interested in sharing their home with low-income individuals who can help them with house work, transportation, garding, etc. in exchange for free or reduced rent.

Seniors residing in Lemon Grove and the unincorporated regions of East County and low-income individuals willing to live in Lemon Grove and the unincorporated regions of East County.

Project Safe Haven


Program Description:
Program works with men and women who are victims of human trafficking. Project provides community education and training, outreach and social services to victims of trafficking: case management, shelter, life skill building, education opprtunities, transportation, and referrals to other necessary services.

Program Hours/Days:
24-Hours a day 7 days a week

Eligibility:
Limited to men and women 18 years and over who are in domestic servitude, forced labor, document servitude, peonage, bondage and sex trafficking.

Intake:
Referrals made through law enforcement, social service agencies or hotline calls. Intake process necessary. Hotline number is (619)368-9381

Male and female victims of Human Trafficking

Family Visitation Center
Program Description:
Provides supervised visitations and transportation services for abused and neglected children placed out-of-home. Family visitations help parents maintain relationships with their children while their children are placed out of the home enviroment.

Program Hours/Days:
10:00am-7:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Most Holidays
9:00am-6pm Saturday, Sunday.

Eligibility:
Children who are placed out of the home environment due to parental neglect, abuse and/or Domestic Violence. Child Protective Services referral required.

Intake:
Child Protective Services referrals only.

Legal Service(s)

Program Description:
Offers legal service(s) staffed by volunteer attorney(s) who provide legal information to adults on Civil matters. No consultation on criminal matters nor do attorneys provide legal representation to clients.

Civil: Noon-1:00pm Wedensdays
Domestic Violence: 9:00-11:00 2nd Monday of each month

Legal Service(Domestic Violence)
Program Description:
Staffed by YWCA volunteers provide confidential domestic violence services, legal consultations, assist in obtaining restraining orders/child custody & support, divorces, paternity suits and refferals to counseling & shelter.
