About San Diego Gives:

Mission: To create a special day of giving across San Diego County, build a community resource for local nonprofit organizations, and connect people to the causes they care about most.

 

San Diego Gives is a 24-hour online fundraiser, focused on addressing the needs of our own community. It shines a light on the tremendous work of local nonprofit organizations throughout our community. We are excited that in our very first year, 120 nonprofits participated! See the full list here >>

 

Our goal is to create a movement of local giving. When you make a donation, know that every dollar of your investment will stay local. We thoroughly vet every nonprofit to make sure they meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrate a commitment to serving the greater San Diego area, responding to the needs of the community with a local-first approach, and making a tangible impact.

​​

• Represent a variety of populations and causes served by your programs and services, including but not limited to age, race, zip code, and diverse communities.

​​

• Commit to keeping all funds raised in the greater San Diego area, and have a proven track record of fiscal responsibility.

Each year, you can choose to donate to Crisis House and other nonprofits through the San Diego Gives platform. San Diego Gives' diverse organizations represent a wide range of causes, from the arts, animal welfare, environmentalism, education, health, human services, equity, and social justice.
