INFORMATION AND REFERRAL

Responding to immediate needs and connecting people to appropriate

community resources.

 

ASSESSMENT

An evaluation of each client's situation is conducted in order to respond and

connect them to the appropriate services.

 

CASE MANAGEMENT

A case plan is developed with the client and goals and tasks are identified and monitored. We support clients in achieving their self-sufficiency goals that empower them to renew their lives. Our service delivery model is client centered and strength based.

 

JOB ASSISTANCE

Crisis House partners with the East County Career Center, Partnerships with Industry, Access and others to support our job ready client’s employment goals.  

 

MEDICAL OUTREACH

A mobile medical clinic operated by Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) visits our site to provide medical services and dental referrals to low income and homeless families and individuals.

Usually every Monday from 8:30am -12 noon

CARE - UTILITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Case managers help citizens who reside in East County apply for utility bill reduction through SDG&E.

 

HOMELESS ADVOCACY PROGRAM

Volunteer lawyer helps with legal advice. Thursdays 9am - 1pm

 

CAL FRESH (FOOD STAMPS) ENROLLMENT ASSISTANCE

Staff assists eligible families and individuals enroll for this service. 

4th Monday or on-line with 211 Friday 8:30am - 11am and 1pm - 4pm

 

CHILDREN'S PANTRY

Infant care products are provided to families with babies as part of their food package. Items include baby food, formula and diapers and hygiene items when available.

CLOTHING

Emergency clothing and clothing vouchers for redemption at a local Thrift Store are issued to clients receiving case management services. Supplies are limited.

CALIFORNIA IDENTIFICATION & BIRTH CERTIFICATES

Staff can provide a referral to the DMV to obtain an ID at reduced cost. Requires an interview, please call for appointment.

OTHER EAST COUNTY FOOD RESOURCES 

Households in economic distress with cooking facilities are given a one time package of emergency food.  Assessment, case management and connections to community resources are provided to help people address their crisis beyond a food package. HOMELESS OUTREACH SERVICES

 

FOOD

A hot, balanced, and nutritious meal is provided to homeless families and individuals in an emergency.  Clients are assessed and provided case management and information and referrals to help them address their crisis beyond a meal. For additional food resources go to San Diego East County Resources.

 

HYGIENE KITS

To enhance employability, self-esteem and overall health, hygiene kits are provided when available.

SHOWERS

A hot shower, hygiene kits (when available) and other services are provided by Think Dignity, Fresh Start Shower program.

Every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 1pm

 

SAFE STORAGE

Supports those experiencing homeless as they attend job interviews and other appointments.

In by 8am & Out before 5pm Monday-Friday.

 

MAIL AND PHONE CALLS

Mail services are provided to those without a permanent address. Mail not picked-up within thirty days is forwarded to the Post Office. Outgoing, local phone calls for jobs and other appointments are available.
